The AXAGON RSS-CD09 internal frame is designed to be mounted instead of the existing 9.5 mm CD/DVD drive. It is designed for 2.5" SSD/HDD SATA drives. You can easily replace the optical drive in your laptop with a hard drive.
The SATA 6G interface allows you to enjoy the speed of modern SSD disks up to 6 Gb/s. Thanks to the absence of complex electronics, it does not slow down the data transfer speed and supports all modern functions such as TRIM. This reduction ensures wide compatibility with various notebook brands. The ODD frame can be set via double switch so it will work with most notebook brands like LENOVO, HP, DELL, ASUS, ACER, SONY, TOSHIBA and others.
It is possible to use standard 2.5” SSD disks with a height of 7 mm as well as hard disks with a height of 9.5 mm. The ODD caddy with mounted disk behaves like a standard hard disk in the operating system and in the BIOS (UEFI).
